A websites appearance is partially controlled by frameworks, themes, and plugins. Frameworks and themes can be free or purchased. Themes have different styles and designs suitable for many applications. Frameworks provide less initial structure, and are used for creating more customized websites and blogs. MokuDD currently uses the Genesis framework by StudioPress.
Plugins allow users to add features to their site or blog. Many plugins are free. Premium plugins are available to manage blog and website add-ons, such as e-commerce or contact forms.
More detailed adjustments can be made by editing the code for your website. WordPress is run using MySQL and PHP, as well as CSS and HTML.
